An exquisite pair of Irish Victorian sterling silver salt spoons, each featuring a finely shaped shell bowl and beautifully detailed mermaid-form handles.

The design is especially charming, with two mermaids facing in opposite directions - one gracefully supporting the bowl, while the other forms the terminal of the handle - creating a beautifully balanced and decorative composition.

Crafted in Dublin circa 1850, these elegant spoons reflect the refined artistry and maritime inspiration characteristic of mid-19th-century Irish silver. A rare and charming addition to any fine silver or antique tableware collection and a wonderful dinner conversation piece!
