Miniature sterling silver group of two men wearing hats, carrying what I initially thought was fruit. Having researched this further, it’s highly likely that they’re carrying Gouda cheeses on a stretcher at a traditional cheese market in Alkmaar, Holland or similar market in the Netherlands, where the same hats were worn and very similar stretchers used for this purpose. Dutch circa 1950 Maker ‘Fal.’
