JG Boutique Jewels is a small online Boutique business in Galway, founded by Joyce, which specializes in carefully curated one-of-a-kind finds.
With a background in running Abbey Lane Antiques in Galway, which sold mainly antique furniture, silver and paintings, Joyce developed a passion for precious gemstones such as diamonds, sapphires, emeralds and rubies.
We now buy from a variety of sources and recognise the demand for semi-precious as well as precious stones. In our search for unusual things, it’s a delight to discover unique pre-loved pieces. Our jewellery tastes encompass both antique and contemporary design.
Joyce’s late parents were well known in the antiques world. Her mother opened the first antique shop at 40, on Eyre Square in Galway during the early 60’s, (simply called The Antique Shop / now Mizzoni’s). The shop was reputed to have the best eye in the business and supplied places such as Ashford Castle and customers worldwide (in an era before the internet).
Having travelled extensively and lived and worked in Paris, London and San Francisco, Joyce brings a unique perspective and a refined eye to the world of jewellery.
With a dedication to quality in our finer pieces, our jewellery is curated to bring the finest craftsmanship and quality to our customers.
What sets us apart is our commitment to customer service. We understand that buying jewellery is a personal experience, which is why we facilitate meeting by appointment in Galway (Limerick and Dublin occasionally also) to try on pieces of specific interest to our customers, with no obligation to buy.
We believe in taking the time to get to know our customers and their needs, when possible so that we can provide the best advice and guidance possible.
